Our team is so excited to be such a flourishing part of the Mackillop Catholic College family. Since opening at the start of term one we have quickly become a hive of activity with new families starting with us every week.
Now that everyone has settled in we have started exploring outside our learning spaces. All of our children have been on excursions to explore the school grounds, library, playground and oval. Which have been a fantastic experience. We have also had two wonderful incursions at the service. In first term students from the OSHC came in to explore our learning spaces and learn with our children. Many were siblings and our little ones loved showing their older siblings how things were done in their space.
This term Ms Jackson and some students joined us for National Simultaneous Story Time. Ms Jackson and her students read alpacas with maracas and showed us some fancy alpaca dance moves. Our entire service was engaged with this experience and we are in the process of organising a regular reading time both in service and at the school library.
