Today, the Year 5 & 6 students joined with others from catholic schools in the Diocese to celebrate.
In 1869 Mary MacKillop and six Sisters landed in Brisbane for the first time by invitation of Bishop Quinn. Within ten years. The Sisters has opened 14 schools and 1 orphanage and were providing care and learning for over half the students in Catholic schools across the entire Colony.
