The building for Stage 4 is scheduled to begin on 11th January, 2021. Once again, our beautiful school will be hidden behind fences for much of 2021 as we finish building our primary learning spaces and continue the development of our dynamic secondary facilities. Our Year 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 classes will be in different learning rooms next year as we juggle limited space and the wonderful problem of growing enrolments! 2021 may feel we are bursting at the seams, with some classes needing a wait list until our buildings are complete. It is a healthy and good problem to have!!!
We would like to take the opportunity to thank our MacKillop families for your understanding this year. We are looking forward to being allowed to re-connect with our school families in the new year. We also need to thank our staff for their mammoth efforts during and post COVID. Pivoting so quickly to online learning and now engaging with purposeful blended learning projects, our staff have been amazing. Our admin, maintenance, grounds and support staff have been our backbone; they are the glue that holds everything together!
On a personal note, I would dearly love to thank our Foundational Principal, Luke Reed, for his vision, guidance, integrity, trust and support. MacKillop has flourished due to his dedication and commitment and he has given us wonderfully strong foundations to hold us steadfast into our next exciting growth phase.
Wishing all our MacKillop School Family a very well-deserved, safe and happy holiday with family and friends. Take care of each other and as a member of our MacKillop Community, you are very much loved and appreciated.
Best wishes, Merry Christmas and God bless,
Michelle Reynolds – Deputy Principal – Leader of Primary
