One of the opportunities for our young people for next year is the Ambassador Program. Students are invited to apply for roles as Student Ambassadors, serving specific missions, and the College more broadly. An ambassador is an authorised messenger or representative who will represent the diversity of MacKillop Catholic College and will serve as a liaison, spokesperson, school leader, and advocate for the College. Student Ambassadors must have strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to MacKillop Catholic College. Ambassadors must have active decision-making skills, the ability to motivate others, and a collaborative team approach.
Student Ambassadors will have demonstrated that over their time at MacKillop, they:
- Actively support and contribute to the life of the College;
- Maintain a positive demeanor, be personable and outgoing that reflects well on the College as they interact with a wide variety of people, such as current and prospective students, families and members of the community;
- Work creatively and collaboratively with a range of people;
- Possess an enthusiastic and positive attitude, and a good work ethic;
- Show an interest in developing leadership and public relations skills;
- Possess a genuine desire to promote the mission and values of the College;
- Have a sincere desire to help MacKillop Catholic College and help to foster the school’s positive reputation;
- Demonstrate a willingness to serve as a College representative;
- Arrive on time for all scheduled tours, meetings, and special events;
- Actively participate in College events and conduct all Ambassador actions in a professional manner;
- Act as an exemplary and positive role model for other students;
- Consistently uphold the MacKillop Way;
- Possess excellent organisational skills;
- Demonstrate that they are responsible, friendly and approachable;
- Show pride in the College; and
- Fulfil all academic requirements by working to their Personal Best
