The sun shined as brightly as our athletes did last Thursday at the MacKillop Games. A huge congratulations to all participants, young and old. For the first time at MacKillop our Prep to Year 4 students were able to compete in age group sprints on the Secondary Oval. Following from this, our teachers also got in on the relay action and competed in their house teams too. Not only did we all race on the new track, we were able to cheer from our new house team marques – which looked fabulous! Children showed incredible sportsmanship by encouraging their friends, giving their personal best in participating and congratulating race winners.
The fun didn’t stop here though… After morning tea, house groups participated in a range of games including tunnel ball, Smurf Soup, sack races, three legged races, egg and spoon races, tug of war and more! We were incredibly proud of our Year 4 students taking on the leadership role in teams by supporting and encouraging our younger students. Teachers were delighted to see the enjoyment shared by everyone on the day.
A huge congratulations for taking out the Spirit Cup…. MacDonald House!!
